CallScope Terms & Conditions

Version 1.0 - 20 August 2026. These terms govern ordering and using CallScope. They are written to be read, not to hide things: if anything is unclear, ask us before you order.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are between Belton IT Nexus Limited ("Belton", "we", "us"), a New Zealand company, and the organisation that places an order for CallScope ("you", "your organisation"). By placing an order, the person submitting it confirms they are authorised to accept these terms for their organisation. CallScope is sold to organisations, not to consumers; to the extent permitted by law, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply.

2. What CallScope is

CallScope is a call-centre analytics and quality platform that connects read-only to your 3CX or VoIP phone system and turns call records into analytics, wallboards, quality and reporting. It can be provided two ways:

  • Belton-hosted (managed SaaS): we run CallScope for you in the hosting region agreed in your order confirmation.
  • Self-hosted: we license CallScope to run on your infrastructure, and implement it with you.

3. Orders, confirmation and when billing starts

An order placed on this website is a request, not a binding purchase. We review your environment and send you a written order confirmation stating your deployment model, hosting region (if we host), size band, flat per-environment price and go-live plan. A contract is formed - and billing starts - only when you accept that order confirmation. If we cannot support your environment, we will tell you and no charge arises.

4. Fees, invoicing and GST

  • Prices are in New Zealand dollars and exclude GST unless stated otherwise. GST is added where applicable.
  • The Belton-hosted service is a flat monthly subscription per environment, invoiced in advance. Self-hosted deployments include the licence fee and a scoped implementation fee, invoiced as set out in the order confirmation.
  • Invoices are payable by the 20th of the month following the invoice date unless the order confirmation says otherwise.
  • If your contact centre grows beyond your size band, we will tell you before moving you to the correct band; band changes apply from the next billing period, never retrospectively.
  • We may adjust subscription pricing with at least 60 days' written notice, effective no earlier than your next renewal.

5. Term and renewal

The Belton-hosted subscription runs monthly and renews automatically until cancelled under clause 13. If your order confirmation specifies a minimum term, that term applies first. Self-hosted licence terms are stated in the order confirmation.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Provide and maintain the access CallScope needs (for example API or CDR credentials for your phone system), and ensure you are entitled to grant that access.
  • Ensure your use of call recordings, transcripts and analytics complies with the laws that apply to you, including notifying staff and callers where required. CallScope analyses the data your phone system already produces; whether you may lawfully record or transcribe calls is your responsibility.
  • Keep your CallScope accounts secure and tell us promptly about any suspected unauthorised access.

7. Belton-hosted service

  • We host your instance in the region stated in your order confirmation and do not move your data out of that region without your written agreement.
  • We operate the service with the security controls described on our compliance page, including role-based access, encryption in transit, audit logging and tested backups.
  • We target high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is notified in advance where practicable. If a specific service level is agreed, it appears in your order confirmation.

8. Self-hosted deployments

  • We grant your organisation a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to run CallScope on your infrastructure for your own internal business use, for the term and scope in your order confirmation.
  • You may not resell, sublicense, copy beyond operational need, or reverse-engineer the software except where law permits.
  • You are responsible for the infrastructure, its security and its backups; we support the CallScope application as described in clause 10.

9. Your data and privacy

Our privacy policy sets out in full what we collect and how we handle it. In summary:

  • Your call data remains yours. We claim no ownership of it, and we use it only to provide and support the service.
  • We handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, where applicable to you, the Australian Privacy Principles.
  • We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train machine-learning models.
  • For the hosted service, on termination we will make your data available for export for 30 days, then delete it from live systems, with backup copies expiring on our backup rotation.
  • A Data Processing Agreement and a subprocessor list are available on request.
  • We do not publish customer names or identifying case studies.

10. Support

Support is included with an active subscription or supported licence: you can raise issues by email and we respond during New Zealand business hours. Support covers CallScope itself; it does not cover your phone system, network or (for self-hosted) your infrastructure, though we will help you work out where a problem lies.

11. Acceptable use

You must not use CallScope to break the law, to monitor people you have no lawful basis to monitor, to attempt to access other customers' data, or to test or probe the service's security without our written agreement. We may suspend access to protect the service or other customers, and will tell you why.

12. Intellectual property

CallScope, including its software, design and documentation, is and remains the property of Belton IT Nexus Limited. Feedback you give us about the product may be used to improve it without obligation.

13. Cancelling and termination

  • You may cancel the hosted subscription with 30 days' written notice (email is fine), effective at the end of the paid period, subject to any minimum term in your order confirmation.
  • Either party may terminate immediately if the other materially breaches these terms and does not fix the breach within 14 days of written notice, or becomes insolvent.
  • Fees already invoiced for periods before termination remain payable; we do not charge for periods after a valid cancellation takes effect.

14. Warranties and liability

  • We warrant that CallScope will perform materially as described on this website and in your order confirmation. We do not warrant that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that analytics derived from your phone system's data are a substitute for your own judgement.
  • Neither party is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data caused by events outside its reasonable control.
  • Each party's total liability under these terms in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid for CallScope in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

15. Confidentiality

Each party will keep the other's non-public information confidential and use it only for the purposes of these terms. This survives termination.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For existing customers, changes take effect at your next renewal and we will give you at least 30 days' notice of material changes. The version you accepted is recorded with your order.

17. General

These terms are governed by New Zealand law and the New Zealand courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest still stand. Neither party may assign these terms without the other's consent, except to a successor of its business. These terms plus your order confirmation are the whole agreement for CallScope.
